Wow, Jonathan. These are really good! You're a natural. I especially love the pantoum, a difficult form to pull off gracefully and coherently and you ace it. The rest - your footing, line breaks, compression, imagery, all masterful. Keep going with this.
Thanks, Glen, for your comments. Returning to poetry can feel like an out-of-body experience, but it's nice way to contemplate the world while walking. Some of my best ideas have come to me through taking such steps.
The pantoum is my favorite of all your poems that I’ve read. Timeless and exquisite.
Thanks, Lavonne. I very much appreciate your comment. The pantoum made me nervous to include, but now I'm glad I did.
I had to look it up; the meaning of that type of verse. Yours is lovely!
Thanks, Julia! Also, thanks for taking the time to look up the form. You should try it sometime. Best, Jonathan
Hi, Jon. Across the years and miles I so enjoy your writings. Hope to see you again in person one day. Love and happy walking and writing. How great!
Thanks, Carolyn, for your comments. I hope we see each other again too! What fun!
Best, Jonathan
