I love these lines and all three poem, Jonathan.

to touch the cusp of one of the twin shafts

and think of the trees surrounding her home.

We tell her, let it quiver to divine your path.

Scooping unused minutes,

I press them into a jar,

Thanks, Erik! This is such a parent-thing. It's hard watching your child leave home, let alone go off on adventures that can test her/his endurance physically and mentally. For myself I don't often think about it, but as a parent, it is so hard to let go.

I think he has a bit of an interest in photography, but probably not enough to pursue it as a calling. I'm sure he'll go on to do great things, though!
