Loved reading these, Jonathon! Thank you for putting them on Substack. "Garage Band" was my favorite-- so dark, the instruments primitive and the state of mind of some of the members- questionable. Great work!
Ooo, yes! Garage Band was my favorite too. Love the changing perspective of the view of the people from within their own selves and how they would be viewed by others. The rhyming rhythm was also really fun.
The Door Between Worlds is my favorite. The cadence makes me feel like I'm tumbling down through a landscape. I love it! I've written some poems over the years, but never had the courage to share them. Thanks for this!
I really love the poem "Snow in Quatrains" (though the last section isn't clear to me). Delicate and evocative. That poem is tied with "The Door Between Worlds," which is GORGEOUS!
I like the sounds of silence poem. We talk a lot these days about how noisy the world is. The experience of the spontaneous sing-a-long is one I would like to have.

Thanks, Jo! I agree, though my voice is one that should stay relatively muted in any spontaneous musical eruption!
