Wow—started out so comparatively bleak (no biscuits! Wet road! Noise! Off course! And did I mention—NO BISCUITS?!) and ended with superb hospitality and warmth. I really liked several of your photos, too. When’s the next installment? 😁

Hi Jeanne, how nice to read your comment. My attitude turned around completely by the end of the day, I must admit. I think watching Chicago PD had something to do with it, but it might have been going out to dinner with Chief Brock and his wife Eva--no biscuits but NC pork barbecue to end to the day! I am back in the trail a week Saturday. Very much looking forward to it! Thanks so much for following along!
